For the preceeding budget year (2013 - 2014) Sheridan County used $116,213.00 of inheritance tax dollars to reduce property taxes.

For Budget Year 2014 - 2015 the Road Department budget will be supplemented by about $795,864.00 from the Highway Trust Fund (Gas Tax).
For Budget Year the Road Department budget will be supplemented by about $7,472.00 from the ** Highway Bridge Buyback Program (HBP).
** HBP funds are to be used solely for the construction, reconstruction, improvement, repair or non-routine maintenance of public bridges.
For Budget Year the Road Department budget will be supplemented by about $93,293.00 from the * Highway Street Buyback Program (STP).
* STP funds are to be used solely for the cost of construction, reconstruction, or repair of public highways, streets, roads, or bridges and facilities, appurtenances and roadway structures.
