For the preceeding budget year (2012 - 2013) Sheridan County used $239,138.00 of inheritance tax dollars to reduce property taxes.
Inheritance tax dollars were used to fund; Gravel Crushing, Building Repairs, Audit Cost, 
 
For Budget Year 2013 - 2014 the Road Department budget will be supplemented by about $758,470.00 from the Highway Trust Fund (Gas Tax).
For Budget Year the Road Department budget will be supplemented by about $5,682.58 from the ** Highway Bridge Buyback Program (HBP).
** HBP funds are to be used solely for the construction, reconstruction, improvement, repair or non-routine maintenance of public bridges.
For Budget Year the Road Department budget will be supplemented by about $94,512.28 from the * Highway Street Buyback Program (STP).
* STP funds are to be used solely for the cost of construction, reconstruction, or repair of public highways, streets, roads, or bridges and facilities, appurtenances and roadway structures.
