Raymond G Shaw 1918 - 1999

Raymond G Shaw was born in Flats, Nebraska September 4, 1918 to George and Rosa (Shepard) Shaw.
Raymond and Ella Shaw MarkerHe passed away Wednesday, September 15, 1999 at Box Butte General Hospital in Alliance, Nebraska at the age of 81.
He married Ella Hudson at the Drake Hotel in Alliance on June 11, 1943.
He moved to the Alliance area in 1942 and began working on the construction of the Alliance Air Base. He then served in the Army from 1943 until he was discharged in 1946. He then began working for the Hall Cattle Company where he remained for 30 years.
He was a member of the International Good Sam Club; the Box Butte Good Sam Club, of which he was a charter member and first president; a member of the 4 Fun Camping Club, R.E.A.C.T., and a 50-year member of the First Baptist Church where he had served on the board of trustees.
Survivors included his wife, Ella; children and spouses, David and Marlene Shaw, Gene and Francis Shaw, Carl Shaw, and Ellarae and, Gary Watson; sisters Hazel Joseph, Edna Petersen, Ann Burry, and Parthene Frasier; 16 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
