George Washington Harvey was born August 1, 1824, in Dunkard,Greene, Pennsylvania, to George and Mary (Cravens) Harvey.

He passed away April 1, 1901 at the home of his daughter Mrs. O. E. McFall near Lakeside, Nebraska.

He married Maria Carr October 7, 1847 in Highland County, Ohio.

Mr. Harvey was a civil war veteran who lived with the McFalls. (Information provided by Rob Harden) It is believe he was a Great Great Grandfather to Jim Cody of Antioch and Bill Cody of Alliance.
