Commissioners Minutes - Tuesday, October 18, 2022

The Sheridan County Commissioners met in regular session and by Zoom (ID# 93997918251 Passcode 625274) at 9 A.M. Messersmith and Krotz present, Kling excused. Messersmith stated that the meeting would be conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Nebraska Open Meeting Act. This meeting was posted on the official County website and published in the Sheridan County Journal Star on October 12, 2022. 

Krotz made a motion to accept the agenda. Messersmith seconded the motion. With a roll call vote all voted aye. 

Krotz made a motion to approve the minutes of 10-11-22. Messersmith seconded the motion. With a roll call vote all voted aye. 

The board audited and approved salary claims and signed claims checks.

Road Superintendent Richard Cross presented the board with a traffic study prepared by Baker and Associates on an intersection that they recommend the placement of a stop sign. Krotz made a motion to pass Resolution #2022-21 authorizing the placement of a stop sign at the intersection of 540 Road and 470th Lane. Messersmith seconded the motion. With a roll call vote all voted aye. 

Jack Arterburn, Extension Educator gave an update on projects he has been involved in.
