The Sheridan County Commissioners met in regular session and by zoom at 9 A.M. on July 20, 2021. Zoom ID#3358213334 Passcode 65274. All members present. Paul stated that the meeting would be conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Nebraska Open Meeting Act. This meeting was posted on the official website and published in the Sheridan County Journal Star on July 14, 2021. Messersmith made a motion to accept the agenda. Krotz seconded the motion. All voted aye. Messersmith made a motion to approve the minutes of 7-13-2021. Krotz seconded the motion. All voted aye. The board signed claim checks and audited and approved salary claims. Road Superintendent Richard Cross and Mike Jancik discussed the possibility of closing a road in sec 17 & Pt 7 in Township 33, Range 46. The board asked Cross to discuss this with the County Attorney and report back. Cross reported that his department is working to repair washouts in the Extension and Beaver roads. Marie Nelson gave an Extension Office update. County Treasurer Renee Thies presented the board an Investment Report showing all the account balances and interest rates of county funds.
