Commissioners Minutes - Tuesday, January 28, 2020

The Sheridan County Board of Commissioners met in regular session at 9:45 A.M. in the Commissioners Office, Courthouse. All members present. Paul stated that the meeting would be conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Nebraska Open Meeting Act. 

Messersmith made a motion to accept the agenda. Krotz seconded the motion. All voted aye. 

Messersmith made a motion to approve the minutes of 1-21-2020. Krotz seconded the motion. All voted aye. 

Road Superintendent Tom Kuester informed the board the he has contracted with Bosselmans for the delivery of 40,000 gallons of fuel at $2.06/gallon. This is down nine cents per gallon from the 2019 contract. Kuester also reported that the cost of red rock is going to increase this year. The large part of the cost is the transportation. 

County Assessor Tina Skinner and the board had a telephone conference with Janell Heuton and Fletcher of gworks about Sheridan County’s data integrity analysis. The Assessor uses two different data bases and this analysis shows the discrepancies between the two. gworks has proposed to fix these discrepancies at an estimated cost of $75,000. The Assessor will work with them and try to correct what she can and report back to the board. 

Val Jansante, representing Adrian Smith met with the board to discuss any topics they would like. Discussion only.

Jeremy from MANNA visited with the board about IT progress.
