Commissioners Minutes - Monday, November 11, 2019

The Sheridan County Commissioners met in regular session at 9:15 A.M. in the Commissioners Office, Courthouse. All members present. Paul stated that the meeting would be conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Nebraska Open Meeting Act. 

Messersmith made a motion to accept the agenda. Krotz seconded the motion. All voted aye. 

Messersmith made a motion to approve the minutes of 10-28-2019. Krotz seconded the motion. All voted aye. 

The board audited and approved claims. General-$67,032.91; Road-$25,787.90; Inheritance-$12,500.00; Wireless 911- $793.89; Insurance-$14,83.21; Weed-$264.03; E-911- $1,593.83; Handi-Bus $2,485.00 Total of $111,940.77. 

Road Superintendent Tom Kuester met with the board to review the bids for a loader. Larry Burbach from NMC and Mike Bateman from John Deere were present to field any questions that the board or Kuester had. Krotz made a motion to purchase the 624L John Deere loader with a rear camera, LED lights and the 3.75 bucket for $190,000 from Murphy Tractor. Messersmith seconded the motion. With a roll call vote all voted aye. 

The board reviewed a couple of subdivision of land requests. No action taken. They will be revisited when surveys are done. Building Superintendent Jeff Davis informed the board that the replacement of the courthouse roof has been completed.
