Commissioners Minutes - Monday, September 30, 2019

Sheridan County Board of Commissioners met in regular session at 10:15 A.M. in the Commissioners Office, Courthouse.  All members present.  Paul stated that the meeting would be conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Nebraska Open Meeting Act.

Messersmith made a motion to accept the agenda.  Krotz seconded the motion.  All voted aye.  

Messersmith made a motion to approve the minutes of 9-30-209.  Krotz seconded the motion.  All voted aye.

The board signed salary checks in the amount of $295,184.66.

The board reviewed a change in the employee handbook concerning the Cash in Lieu of option for Health Insurance.  Messersmith made a motion to approve the County Employee Handbook with the amendment effective 9-30-2019.  Krotz seconded the motion.  With a roll call vote all voted aye.

Road Superintendent Kuester reported on the FEMA reimbursement for the repair of all the damage from the flooding.

Sheriff Jeff Brewer visited with the board about the activities in his department.       

Jason Schwarting, a representative of Family Heritage Insurance, requested permission to visit with the County employees about supplemental insurance plans.  The board gave their approval to visit with the employees of the County.

County Treasurer Renee Thies, Assessor Tina Skinner and Clerk of District Court Carol Stouffer met with the board to ask questions about the budget and salaries.

Jeremy Harris of MANNA Systems visited by telephone with the board about some quotes he had sent for cameras.  The board approved the claim for hardware for $3,158.85.
