Commissioners Proceedings Statement - Monday, September 30, 2019
Present were Chairman Loren Paul, Commissioners Bruce Messersmith and James Krotz and Clerk Sindy Coburn.

Assessor Tina Skinner informed the Board that Great Plains Communications has amended five personal property returns resulting in a loss of $999,067 of valuation.

The Commissioners reviewed and approved an amendment to the County Employee Handbook regarding the in-lieu-of health insurance policy.

Road Superintendent Tom Kuester reported that the prospect of FEMA reimbursement for the repair of flood damaged roads was looking dismal.

Sheriff Jeff Brewer reported on activities in his department.

Jason Schwarting, a representative of Family Heritage Insurance, appeared to request permission to offer health insurance supplement products to county employees.

Jeremy Harris of MANNA Systems reported by telephone on the update of the courthouse information technology system.

Clerk of the District Court Carol Stouffer, Treasurer Renee Thies, and Assessor Tina Skinner met with the Commissioners to discuss the process for setting wages.
The next meeting of the Commissioners and BOE is scheduled for Monday, October 15 at 9:00 a.m.
