Commissioners Minutes - Monday, July 8, 2019

The Sheridan County Board of Commissioners met in regular session at 9 A.M. in the Commissioners Office, Courthouse. All members present. Paul stated that the meeting would be conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Nebraska Open Meeting Act.

Messersmith made a motion to accept the agenda. Krotz seconded the motion. All voted aye.

Krotz made a motion to approve the minutes of 7-1-2019. Messersmith seconded the motion. All voted aye. 

The board had a teleconference call with Jeremy Harris of MANNA SYSTEMS about the next steps needed to update the county's IT system. Road Superintendent Tom Kuester informed the Board that he has representatives from Federal Emergency Management Agency coming out to assess the flood damage to our roads. Kuester advised the board to be prepared for a high claim amount this month, due to gravel claims and contract services. 

Sheriff Brewer informed the board that he will be taking his vehicles to Scottsbluff for the security cages to be installed. 

Building & Grounds Superintendent Jeff Davis visited with the board about improvements he is working on.
