Present were Chairman Loren Paul, Commissioners Bruce Messersmith and James Krotz, Clerk Sindy Coburn and Treasurer Rene Thies. 

Clerk of the District Court Carol Stouffer met with the Commissioners to discuss security concerns in the courtroom. The Board approved an 8:00 A.M. Opening time for the Gordon County Club bar for a tournament on August 4.

Road Superintendent Tom Kuester reported that the purchase of the site of the Lakeside shop from Nebraska School Lands was complete. The first visit by the FEMA review team went well - Pictometry survey photos are proving helpful in establishing the pre-flood condition of damaged roads for FEMA claims. 

Sheriff Brewer and Building Superintendent Davis updated the Board on activities in their respective departments. Acting as the Board of Equalization (BOE) the Commissioners reviewed property valuation protests from 17 property owners. The next scheduled meeting of the BOE is Thursday July 18 at 8:00 A.M. The next scheduled meeting of the Board of Commissioners is Monday 22.
