A CULTURE CHANGE
HOME
Let us meet your
long term care needs.

Kathy Andersen - Administrator

The clocks have sprung ahead and if we were real lucky they would stay that way!! All of us here at the Manor are certainly ready for Spring. Hopefully the spring thaw will bring out the best in all of us. I see the daffodils outside my office window are up and growing. The first blooms of Spring are always the best.

Imperial is fortunate to have a facility the quality of Imperial Manor-Parkview Heights. Not only is the facility spacious and well decorated it is staffed by some very dedicated employees. Everyone does not have the ability to deal with elders on a day to day basis so we are appreciative of those who care for our loved ones.

It is our wish at Imperial Manor to allow elders as much choice and freedom to move about as possible. We are a family and as in any family all members must be considerate of each other so naturally our choices are limited. Choices that can be accommodated are given high priority. We have 41 elder bedrooms plus the common areas which make it physically impossible to provide one on one twenty four hour surveillance. There is always the possibility that an accident will happen, but we do our best to recognize any factors present that could contribute to

an accident and then implement interventions to prevent their occurrence.

Not only does Imperial Manor – Parkview Heights offer elders the ability to stay within their community it provides employment for over fifty residents of the area. These persons live and support the community with rent, home ownership, taxes, and shopping. The bi – monthly payroll puts upward of $40,000 into the local economy. We strive to remain a valuable asset to the community so I encourage each of you to support Imperial Manor – Parkview Heights not only by placement of your loved ones here but by advocating for us and thru volunteering. Gifts and donations to the facility help control costs and keep our rates competitive. Donations have made all our painting, flooring and décor possible this past year. We maintain non-profit status and as such all donations are tax deductible.

Please visit with me anytime you have a concern about our home. There is usually a lot more to the story than what is being told. Just remember privacy regulations are there to protect everyone and many times our hands are tied and the real "rest of the story" can not be told!
